THE PERFECT WAY TO CHARGE
We recommend that most of your charging is done from the comfort of your home as it’s usually the cheapest and most convenient way to charge – as easy as plugging in your phone. The fastest way to charge at home is with a professionally installed home charger.
Before you purchase your vehicle, our preferred home charging providers will help you check the suitability of your property. Installation can depend on factors including the age of your property, availability of private off-street parking and an appropriate power supply.
YOUR FOUR SIMPLE STEPS TO INSTALLATION
1. CHOOSE YOUR PROVIDER
To start your wall box installation process, your local Range Rover Retailer will help you choose a home charging partner.
2. COMPLETE YOUR SUITABILITY SURVEY
A quick survey with your charging provider will determine your home’s suitability for a wall box. General requirements include off-street parking and an appropriate power supply.
3. ARRANGE YOUR INSTALLATION DATE
Agree an installation date with your chosen provider that is before the delivery date of your vehicle. If you qualify for a government grant to help with the cost, your provider will claim this on your behalf.
4. GET SET TO START CHARGING
Once your installation date comes around, your provider will fit your wall box and talk you through the basics of charging.
DOMESTIC SOCKETS PROVIDE ADDED REASSURANCE
If you’re away for longer periods and no home charger is available, your standard domestic plug socket used for household electrical items will also charge your vehicle. An hour of charging allows for up to 9 km of range.
For charging your vehicle using a domestic socket, an optional Mode 2 cable is available to purchase separately1.
KEEP EXPLORING ELECTRIC
1Features, options and their availability remain market dependent - check with your Retailer for local market availability and full terms. Certain features require an appropriate sim with a suitable data contract which will require further subscription after the initial term advised by your Retailer. Mobile connectivity cannot be guaranteed in all locations.
2Charging times vary dependent on many factors, including but not limited to the age, condition, temperature and existing charge of the battery; facility used and duration of charge.
3For correct connection of Mode 2 cable, please follow the handbook instructions.
